By Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a fantasy adventure shonen anime. As the name suggests, this shonen battle anime is quite bizarre. The odd but unique art style of Jojo, the power system, and abilities are what make Jojo the ‘Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’. The show takes you on a journey with jojos of each part and you eventually fall in love with the show along the way.
The manga series by Hirohiko Araki has 8 parts. Five of the parts have been animated and 12 episodes of part 6: Stone Ocean were released recently in December 2021. The series also has great music and OSTs which makes it even more worth watching. The anime shows the generations of Joestars, Jonathan Joestar particularly, fighting the evil. Each part of the show has its own joestar, jojo main character.
Here’s an overview of the plot of each Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure part.
Part 1: Phantom Blood
The main protagonist of the first part, Phantom blood is Jonathan Joestar.
In this part, Jojo along with his companions; Speedwagon and William Zeppeli, fights against his evil stepbrother, Dio Brando using the power of Hamon, a type of ripple-breathing fighting technique.
Part 2: Battle Tendency
Joseph Joestar is the grandson of Jonathan Joestar.
The Pillar Men wake up from their slumber and they want to become the ultimate being. To defeat them, Joseph learns hamon from Lisa Lisa while training with Ceasar Zeppeli.
Part 3: Stardust Crusaders
DIO is back and he has awakened his stand. Stands are the physical manifestations of one’s energy.
To defeat DIO, Jotaro Kujo along with his grandfather Joseph Joestar and other companions, sets out on a journey around the world.
On the way they find many challenges and fight other stand users.
Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable
Josuke Higashikata is the illegitimate son of Joseph Joestar. Jotaro visits him and tells him all about stands.
Josuke along with his friends start searching for an arrow and a bow. During all this they get to know about the dark murderous deeds going on in the apparently peaceful town, Morioh.
They look for the culprit behind all the murders and fight him.
Part 5: Golden Wind
This part features Giorno Giovanna, the son of DIO. Giorno joins the PASSIONE gang after meeting Bucciarti. He has a dream and he wants to become a gang-star.
He wishes to put an end to evil using the twisted way.
Giorno’s stand, Golden Experience Requiem or GER is quite powerful and invincible.
Part 6: Stone Ocean
Stone oceans feature Jotaro’s daughter, Cujoh Jolyne. Jolyne gets accused of theft and murder and is sent to the Green Dolphon Street Prison.
But there’s more to it. Dark and unexplainable things are going on in the prison.
Jotaro visits Jolyne and tells her everything about stands. There they encounter the antagonist and Jotaro’s soul and stand gets stolen.
Jolyne stays at the prison to search for the culprit and bring his father back to life.
The series is totally worth watching. It is an exceptionally brilliant show.
